Statsbygg intends to enter into an agreement with STEMCELL Technologies for the delivery of a STEMvision instrument for automated scoring and colony counting for hematopoietic progenitor colony-forming unit (CFU) assays, and a Robosep-S, a fully automated cell extractor, to the new Life Sciences Building for the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital in Oslo. The STEMvision system is required to be a bench-top, fully automated imaging and colony counting system specifically designed for automatic hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC) CFU assays with automated digital image capture and specialized analysis software to analyze and classify complex blood stem cell colonies, capable of completing analysis in 1-2 minutes per sample. The RoboSep-S is required to be a fully automated tabletop cell extractor that performs simultaneous cell isolations for up to 4 samples using the same or different protocols, with fully automated sequential isolation of up to 4 cell types, and column-free and tubing-free isolation using 4 magnets that support both positive and negative selection of target cells.
