Universitetet I Tromsø - Norges Arktiske Universitet har inngått en avtale med Waters Sverige Aktiebolag om å levere et høyoppløselig massespektrometer (HR-MS/MS) og et preparativt HPLC-system (prep HPLC-MS) for å oppgradere eksisterende utstyr og håndtere fremtidige behov. Avtalen har en verdi på 6,4 millioner kroner.

Norce Research AS needs laboratory services for a research project involving the isolation, purification, and chemical analysis of n-alkanes from archaeological sediment samples, with a maximum total value of 1,6 millioner kroner over 48 months. The supplier will receive total lipid extracts, perform lipid fractionation to isolate the apolar hydrocarbon (n-alkane) fraction, conduct additional purification, and carry out quantitative and isotopic analysis using gas chromatography (GC-FID, GC-MS, or GC-IRMS). The deliverables include a complete data set package with quantified concentrations, chromatograms, method documentation, and a detailed method report in English. The contract includes a pilot phase and full sample processing. Offers will be evaluated based on Quality (40%), Price (30%), and Environment (30%).
