The European Food Safety Authority needs services for emerging risk identification through the analysis of botanical substances in food supplements over 18 months, with a maximum total value of 200,000 EUR. The purpose is to prioritize and analyze the composition of food supplements made from plants reported to contain substances with QSAR-predicted carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reprotoxic properties, building on existing EFSA and Member State activities. The award criteria are Quality (70%) and Price (30%).

    The contract aims to support EFSA’s emerging risk identification by prioritising and analysing the composition of food supplements made of plants reported to contain substances with QSAR-predicted carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic properties. The work will build on existing EFSA and Member State activities and help EFSA and Member Stated competent authorities to decide how to follow-up on this issue.
