Stichting Nederlandse Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek Instituten (NWO-I) needs a subsea acoustic fish detection system for the rifHerstel XL project, to be delivered and configured within 180 days, with an estimated total value of 800,000 EUR. The system, including a subsea frame, transducer(s), and data acquisition unit, must enable autonomous, long-term monitoring of fish in Dutch coastal waters, supporting a minimum uninterrupted deployment of six months at approximately 40 metres depth, and include at least one split-beam wideband transducer. Award criteria are Technical Solution / System Performance (30%), Overall Planning (20%), Deployment Operational Plan (25%), and Price (25%).

Om anbudet

NIOZ (Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research) is conducting a European open procurement procedure for the supply, configuration, and delivery of a subsea acoustic fish detection system as part of the rifHerstel XL project. The system will enable autonomous, long-term monitoring of fish presence, species composition, and biomass in the vicinity of artificial reef structures in Dutch coastal waters. The system must support a minimum uninterrupted deployment duration of six months at an operational water depth of approximately 40 metres, and shall include at least one split-beam wideband transducer for target detection and tracking. Supply of one (1) subsea acoustic fish detection system, including subsea frame, transducer(s), and data acquisition unit, with an estimated contract value of EUR 800,000 excluding VAT.

Tildelingskriterier

    Beskrivelse

The extent to which the proposed system meets or exceeds the acoustic requirements (split-beam wideband transducer, frequency range, beamwidth), demonstrates proven capacity for autonomous subsea operation at 40 m depth for minimum 6 months, shows experience with comparable subsea acoustic monitoring deployments, and presents an effective antifouling strategy

    Beskrivelse

The extent to which the planning is realistic, sub-phases (system design, factory acceptance testing, subsea frame integration, deployment) will be delivered on time, final delivery and in-situ deployment can take place by end-2026, and contingencies (weather windows, vessel availability, equipment lead times) are accounted for

    Beskrivelse

The extent to which the Tenderer demonstrates a clear and safe methodology for subsea frame deployment and recovery (acoustic release or L-deployment), describes data management, remote monitoring, and servicing procedures in a SMART manner, addresses communication with the Contracting Authority, and identifies/mitigates risks (biofouling, battery degradation, data loss)
