The Water Services Corporation in Malta needs trenching and pipelaying works for the extension of the existing water network in Birzebbuga, with a maximum total value of 1,242,345 EUR. The works include laying pipes by open-cut trenches for potable water ductile iron mains (150mm and 300mm), installation of potable water house connections, construction of manhole chambers, replacement of manhole roof slabs, manhole covers, and frames, and resurfacing. The Water Services Corporation will supply all ductile iron mains and fittings, polyethylene pipes and fittings, and manhole covers and surface boxes.

The subject of this tender is the laying of pipes by open cut trenches as per tender documents and bill of quantities, to cater for the increase demand of potable water in Birzebbuga. The tender is for one lot and is inclusive, but not exclusive, of: • Open Cut Trenches o Potable Water Works Installation of potable water ductile iron mains 150mm and 300mm exclusive of the supply of pipes and fittings. Installation of potable water house connections. o Wastewater Works Construction of manhole chambers on existing and new sewer mains Replacement of manhole roof slabs, manhole cover and frame. • Resurfacing as per TM permit Conditions All ductile iron mains and fittings, all polyethylene pipes and fittings and manhole covers and surface boxes are to be supplied by the Water Services Corporation.
