L-impjant tad-desalinazzjoni se juża teknoloġija ta' reverse osmosis biex jiddeżalinizza l-ilma baħar għal standards ta' ilma tax-xorb, u l-ilma mielaħ li jirriżulta se jintrema fil-baħar permezz ta' brine header, li huwa wkoll parti mill-ambitu ta' din it-tender.

The subject of this tender is the Design and Build of new Plant B at Ghar Lapsi Reverse Osmosis Plant for the Water Services Corporation. The desalination plant will adopt a reverse osmosis technology and will be desalinating sea water to potable standards. Resulting brine will be discharged to sea via a brine header which is also part of the scope of this tender.
