The instrument will be used for phenotypical high-throughput screening of small molecules in cell based analyses, mainly 2D images when using microtither plates. The cells will mainly be established cell lines and human primary cells. The analyses can vary from simple bright-field-based imaging to more advanced procedures involving different fluorescent colouring methods with antibodies and other dyes. The facility will also use the HCI system for cell-painting (DOI: 10.1038/s41592-024-02528-8) in high-throughput mode, with dyes such as Hoechst 33342, Concanavalin A (Alexa Fluoride 488-conjugate), SYTO 14 green-fluorescent nucleic acid colour, Phalloidin (Alexa Fluor 568-conjugate), Wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) (Alexa Fluor 555-conjugat) and MitoTracker Deep
