We are inviting qualified bidders to submit a proposal for a broad-based study to investigate how digitalisation, including but not limited to the use of artificial intelligence, can influence the field of interpreting and provide an overview of the possibilities and challenges the digital development presents. The results of the investigation must be presented in a report. Bidders are invited to first submit a pre-qualification application and secondly, if selected for the next stage, a detailed solution proposal.
Specifically, the study aims to:
Gather perspectives on how digitalisation can contribute to the goal of a quality reform in the field of interpreting, especially considering the digital development in recent years and the introduction of artificial intelligence.
Predict how digitalisation will influence interpreting in the public sector in Norway in the years to come.
Identify opportunities, challenges and consequences connected to the adoption of emerging technologies in the field of interpreting. IMDi assumes that emerging technologies have the potential to influence a broad range of areas, from the education and training of qualified interpreters to the organisation, distribution and booking of interpreting assignments.Hovedtrekkene i prosedyrenThe tender process includes a pre-qualification stage.
