Anbudsoversikt for RFI 3 - Class 79 - Long distance - intercity trains

Several of the current long-distance trains are more than 40 years old and are near the end of their technical lifecycle. Norske tog are therefore planning to procure a new fleet of long-distance trains. The project's main goal is to procure new long-distance trains that will operate the Bergensbanen, the Sørlandsbanen, the Dovrebanen and Nordlandbanen. The new trains will replace today's long-distance fleet. The new trains will strengthen the offer of train services in line with the Jernbanedirektoratet/Norwegian Railway Directorate's estimated increase in travel demand. The renewal of the night train fleet is also included in the procurement. This is an invite to the third round of RFI with suppliers.
