The Historical Museum in Oslo needs specially designed showcases for the proper display of its two mummies with their coffins. The museum needs specially adapted showcases that ensure a high level of audience experience and safety for the objects. There are functional requirements, especially concerning the opening mechanisms of the showcases and handling the objects in and out, as well as the lightning of the exhibited objects, that we might need more thorough discussions on and are likely to lead to changes in the design. It is expected that there will be a development of the showcase design in collaboration with the chosen producer. It is also expected safe transportation and delivery of the showcases to the Historical Museum in Oslo.

Quality will be evaluated based on the supplier’s ability to fulfil both the general requirements in Appendix 1 and the specific exhibition-related requirements set out in the document ‘Exhibition Special Requirements – MUMMIES.’ To respond to the requirements in Appendix 1, suppliers may complete Appendix 2. For the exhibition-specific requirements, suppliers are asked to upload a separate attachment describing how these are met.

The price will be evaluated based on the supplier’s total price offer, which must include all costs, including delivery to the specified location at UiO, installation, handling of customs duties, and any necessary meetings. All prices must be exclusive of VAT.
